An original framework
An interdisciplinary framework developed by Dennis Matthews Jr. Its thesis: divine meaning flows, the way rain flows through soil, through a living ecosystem of scripture, ecological imagery, poetic language, cultural narrative, and lived experience.

Does a story affirm, distort, or challenge God's moral order as revealed in Scripture? Every story is examined honestly in light of biblical truth.
Looking beyond isolated events to the broader social, technological, cultural, and moral patterns that Scripture warns about or illuminates.
Transparent reporting, institutional accountability, verifiable facts. Narrative is distinguished from reporting, and bias is acknowledged, not hidden.

Journalism was born as a covenant, not a commodity. It existed to make the powerful accountable to the powerless. It was witness in service of the governed, a way for a citizen to know what they could not personally see, so that they might act as a free and responsible moral agent.
When attention became the product, the covenant inverted. The reader ceased to be the one served and became the thing sold. Information stopped serving discernment and began manufacturing reaction.
We name this dominant paradigm diversion, the movement of attention away. Not merely distraction, but a directed pull: away from the true toward the inflammatory, away from the neighbor toward the enemy, away from the durable toward the urgent but empty.
Diversion is not a failure of modern media. It is, increasingly, its design.

Our answer
A turning toward. It asks: what is worthy of a person's limited and sacred attention?
The diversionary medium rewards the fastest, hottest response. We deliberately slow the reader down with measured headlines and a refusal of the jolt. We ask not how this makes you feel in the next three seconds, but what it means, and what it asks of you.
Diversion reduces persons to content: the villain to hate, the victim to consume. We hold that every person in every story bears the image of God, including the ones the reader is invited to despise. Contempt is a form of blindness.
The feed delivers the world as disconnected shocks, each erasing the last. We supply context, the reason it matters now, and what still remains unknown, restoring to the fragment the frame that makes it intelligible. A fact without a frame is not information. It is ammunition.
Not everything true is worth your attention today. Curation is a moral act. We select for the consequential, the dignifying, and the formative, and we refuse the sensational but empty, even when it would perform. Restraint is our signature.
We do not stop at what happened. Through the confessed lens, we invite the reader past information toward revelation, the drawing back of the curtain on what a story discloses about the world, the neighbor, and God. We end not with a verdict, but a question the reader can carry.
There is no neutral witness, and pretending otherwise is itself a deception. All witness is confessed witness, and the honest course is not to hide the standpoint but to declare it. We name where we stand, do the disciplined work of measured and verifiable reporting, and then serve the reader's own discernment rather than commanding their conclusion. We are not building an audience to sell. We are forming a reader to free.
